GoldED+ matters because it kept the line alive after Dirk and Odinn put the original one down.

This page exists to acknowledge the `golded-plus` maintainers properly: they picked up where Dirk A. Müller and Odinn left off and kept the project alive for another 27 years, which is not a footnote and does not deserve footnote treatment.

GoldED+ deserves explicit thanks. Its maintainers picked up where Dirk A. Müller and Odinn left off and kept the project alive for 27 more years, which is a better definition of stewardship than most software ever gets.

This site is centered on the original line, the macOS port, and GoldED 7 because that is the record being assembled here. But pretending GoldED+ was some incidental side branch would be historically stupid.
